The Seiwa Tokonole Burnishing Gum is renowned as the best product on the market for edge burnishing. Used by many leather artisan makers across the globe, the gum will provide a professional looking burnished edge which will leave a smooth and shiny finish. This silky, non-toxic, water based liquid is all you will need for your handmade leathergoods.

Tokonole gum can also be used to smooth over the flesh side of your leather.

How to use

1. Prepare by sanding down all edges to create a smooth and even finish.

2. Start with a higher grade sand paper before finishing with a finer grain. Always sand with the grain, not against it.

3. Bevel all edges before burnishing.

4. Add a thin application of Tokonle gum to all edges using your fingertips.

5. Keep burnishing all edges using the correct tool or machine until you achieve a smooth, shiny finish.
